Today I spent two hours continuing the work on cutting out the skins. I’m going to cut out all 4 before trying to attach them (may as well get all of the swearing done at the same time).
First, I cut out the rear inner, which was simplicity, given that I have none of the optional openings.

Then I started work on the Front outer skin. Going to have the be ultra careful with this one, as this is what is going to confront onlookers as soon as they take their eyes off the dome. I’d rather spend a week making sure every cut is perfect than rush ahead and naff it all up.

A tip worth using, though, is to always put your steel guide rule on the line with the body of the rule covering the droid body, that way if you slip off the line, you are only cutting up the plastic waste material anyway, not scoring the finished body pieces.
